About Southern Energy Consultants
Southern Energy Consultants Ltd was formed in 2009 to address energy performance of new dwellings and drive effective, affordable solutions for the requirement of the Zero Carbon Homes Initiative, since abolished by Government, due to become legislation at the end of 2016.
The initial focus was to provide specifications and Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) calculations as part of Building Regulation compliance process for developers. The company’s expertise has grown and in addition to SAP Calculations and Energy Performance Certificates offer Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments, Planning Energy Strategies, Sustainability Statements, Air Permeability Testing, Domestic Ventilation Testing, Acoustic Testing, AD Part G Water Efficiency Calculations, Environmental Noise Monitoring and Commercial Energy Ratings via Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) calculations.
